Shopper's World opened in 1969 and during the 70's was one of Canada's top telling malls.
During the 90's and early 2000's the mall was left to decline, but in 2007 there was a massive overhaul of the mall, including a new food court and the addition of a Canadian Tire on the Main street side of the mall.
2010 saw the demolition of the The Bay store that had closed a few years earlier. A Beer store was constructed in the parking lot of the Charloit side of the mall. A bus terminal opened in late 2012 on the Steels and Main corner of the parking lot. Zellers was transformed into Target in 2013 and Bad Boy, Bulk Barn, Osh Kosh, Tbooth, Spoonfuls, Medix college and, Costa Blanka were all added to the mall in 2013. EB Games and The Source also had major renovations done in 2013.
Shopper's World still has old stores showing signs of their age but overall the mall has really turned around in the past 5 or so years.
