We were driving by the Northway while doing some family errands in town one day when we noticed on their sign that kids could eat for free on that day. We hadn't planned on going anywhere for dinner but that deal sounded reasonable so we went in for a quick meal. First of all the service was terribly slow despite the lack of other patrons. We asked the waitress about the kids deal and then ordered our meals. My husband and I had a burger meal and a fish and chip meal. When the bill finally arrived (after waiting for our chatty waitress to finish talking to some guy at the bar for over 20 minutes) it showed the kids meals as full price. She then told us we hadn't ordered the "right" dinners to get the free dinners? After arguing with her for a few moments we asked to see a manager. The woman who came out was very short with us and rudely pointed at some tiny sign on the wall that she claimed had the full details that the massive sign out front had omitted. We pointed out that the sign out front didn't have any stipulation and that we had asked about it prior to ordering but were told nothing about having to order specific adult dishes. In the end we gave up, paid the bill and have vowed never to return on principle. Our overall impression of the restaurant? Mediocre food with cheap, sneaky so and so's running it.
