House salad from a bag? the prices are far too high to be serving salad from a bag. Thai coconut curry chicken was overcooked, sauce lacked any flavor other than yellow curry powder. Coconut absent. Veggies fresh and el dente but lacked any seasoning.

There are much better dining options in Belleville.

Awesome patio!

Excellent tasty fresh fish. We ate on the balcony, lovely summer evening.
Service was wonderful. No complaints at all. We will visit again when we
are in Belleville.

The Boathouse has a lot of fans locally, and this is obvious just about any evening when trying to find a parking spot within 100 metres of the place. It baffles me why the place is so attractive, unless one likes fish whose batter tastes of the grease in which it was cooked, limp "french" fries, watery cole slaw, rubbery scallops, or griddle-fried, salty crab cakes. Or perhaps it's the allure of the only waterside open-air patio in town: a patio generally overcrowded and downwind of fumes from passing motorboats. Its only saving grace is a somewhat eclectic variety of beer choices, a rarity in Belleville.

Visited this location last Tuesday June 11th, 2013. Went with wife and a friend. Arrived at 5:30pm and the place was half full. Excellent location right on the water. It does have a patio but was a little cold so everyone was eating inside. It's was lobster fest on at this time. My wife ordered fish and chips which she thoroughly enjoyed. My friend and I both ordered lobster rolls. Also ordered lobster and mushrooms and lobster pasta for the table to share. All food was srved hot and all very tasty. It's not the cheapest place around to eat but we were eating Lobster so it should be expensive. We will definitely return again.
