Recently spent a night at the Montrose Inn on business and could not have been made to feel more at home and pampered. The Inn is beautiful and impeccable in every way. Service deserves more than 5 stars. Diane was available throughout our meeting which went from 9 to 5 - providing coffee, tea, photocopying, .... and tlc. I have never experienced such excellent service anywhere. This is someone who could write a "how to" guide to innkeeping. And she has a perfect partner in Wayne who was chef for the day and turned out a mean hollandaise sauce for a breakfast of eggs benee and a delicious asparagus soup for lunch. Can't wait to visit again.

We arrived Christmas Day at the Inn. Check in time is normally 4pm. We were getting into town at 1pm and we told we were welcomed to check in then. After a tour of the Inn which was tastefully decorated for Christmas we were shown to our room.. We originally booked the Graham suit but after seeing the Campbell suite asked if it would be possible to spend one night there. Dianne was very accommodating and agreed to change our reservations on the spot. Later that day Dianne and Wayne gracious asked us to share their family Christmas dinner on learning we had no dinner plans. We found both Dianne and Wayne the most entertaining and heart warming host and can't wait to book another visit this summer.

The Montrose Inn and Tea Room, built in 1916 and owned and operated by Dianne and Wayne Campbell, is a sterling example of ante bellum architecture. In fact, it has been featured in movies and television on several occasions! There are 4 beautifully decorated rooms on the second floor, where guests will feel pampered and be reluctant to leave! A deep, wide verandah is accessible from each room, furnished with comfortable wicker furniture for a drowsy afternoon's read. I live locally, and have been to the Montrose a number of times with houseguests and neighbours to enjoy afternoon tea, served on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays between noon and 4 p.m. It is to die for! You won't need dinner that evening! Most of the offerings are home-made by Dianne's husband, Wayne, I believe, and Dianne herself is a charming and gracious hostess. She often gives tea guests a tour of the mansion afterwards. The Montrose Inn is also available for special events such as anniversaries, weddings, etc. Whether you live in the area and go for tea, or come to Belleville as an overnight traveller, you won't be disappointed by the wonderful hospitality and charm of the Montrose Inn and Tea Room! Visit www.montroseinn.ca for photos and more info.

Room Tip: The Campbell Suite is my favourite, especially suitable for honeymooners with its whirlpool tub!

We spent one night at the Montrose,Inn and loved it. We will definitely book again when the opportunity arises. The property is lovely and the house is very beautiful. We appreciated being shown around, and having the history explained to us.
Dianne and Wayne are friendly hosts and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Our room was nice, and the breakfast was fabulous.

we stayed only one night- unfortunately. Diane and Wayne were very friendly and did everything to accommodate our 18-month old. They offered their grandchild's booster seat so we could have breakfast comfortably and even lent him toys. Our little one enjoyed the beautiful house immensely. Bathrooms and bedrooms been have remodelled with excellent taste while keeping the historic architecture; I felt in the house from Gone with the Wind! They have a dog but he doesn't go to the guests' bedrooms and they keep him away if they think he will be bother. We had brought some food to dine inside and without even asking, Dianne offered plates and cutlery. When we left, we forgot a shirt and once we realized, we called at which point Dianne offered to mail it, but since we were on our way to Toronto from the sand dunes the B&B was on our way and we were able to pick it up. Maybe the only thing is that if you're going to the dunes, it is a 45-minute drive aprox. and therefore it may not be the best location for that plan. Otherwise, I recommend the place and hope to come back.

Room Tip: We had the Graham suite which was fine for one night stay but it is rather small and there is no clo...

The inn is impeccably kept and the hosts went above and beyond to make you feel right at home! We will definitely keep their business card handy for our next trip.

The Campbell and Sato room were comfortably and very cool for not having an air conditioning units.

The grounds were pristine!

The breakfast was very eloquently served to every detail. And Wayne is an excellent chef!

Hats of to Diane and Wayne for putting it all together so professionally!

See you again....
