After wandering around downtown Barrie last Sunday afternoon (6 May) we headed straight to the only restaurant that was playing music and seemed really lively..Hooters Restaurant.
This place is relaxed, all pine-wood everywhere, old posters on the wall, comfortable furniture, and of course, the servers...ALL very pretty to look at! The stunning part of this restaurant is that it overlooks the beautiful water of Kempenfelt Bay and park!
On the main floor there are large garage-door style windows that roll right out of the way, and a smaller outside balcony. Upstairs is a larger open air balcony. Both great places to grab a beer and tasty bite on any sunny afternoon!
Only problem I have is they are a bit slow with the first beverage, but after that they are fast! Food's also a "hit and miss" as another reviewer states. Sometimes the food is really good pub-grub, but other times it's mediocre (moderate quality; not good).
I DO recommend you visit Hooters for the experience: ALWAYS lots of fun (especially in a crowd) lively music, GREAT views, low priced COLD beer, and maybe even good food!
