“Fantastic Day! Challenging and Fun!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

I purchased the Tree Top Trekking and Big Zip through the website Trythat.ca for a Christmas gift for a friend. We went together on the August long weekend and it was probably the best thing we have done! It was well organized and there was an excellent safety orientation. The employees were all helpful (Thank you Jesse and Jana) and willing to offer any assistance if needed. The courses were challenging yet not impossible. The only one we didn't get to try was the Black level and that was by choice. The Big Zip was also a lot of fun. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a few hours of fun and excitement. I will be coming back with my children as well, so that they can put their skills to the test!

Hello Sydooeoo,
thank you so much for your review! We greatly appreciate your feedback on your visit on the August long weekend. We are always glad to hear that Try That! had conviced you for our park. It's always great to hear that you enjoyed doing all courses of ours excepts of courses for Black, and being that it takes at least an hour to do and is very challeneging I couldn't imagine how tired you must have been after doing both beginer Yellow & Green, intermediate Red & Blue, along with our advanced courses Purple! again we are so very glad that both Janna, and Jesse could have made your experience the best possible and hope to see you and your family re-visit againa in the furthere!

“A great time outdoors and a great workout”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Location was a bit tucked away with little signage but resort staff very helpful to locate the building. Preclimb instruction very important and well done. Staff very friendly and courteous.Using old gloves may help for the latter part of the day. Bring drinks and a snack or cookies between climbs !!! as the parked car is a bit of a walk. Bring a few bandaids for the novice climber ( I needed a nail clipper too). A decent rest, cookies and a drink is strongly recommended before the Black routine is entered...and do not rush through it. The staff is well organized, lenient with time and great with assisting the participants. A GREAT GREAT place and time experienced !

Hello Mitchell,
so glad you could find us in the little valley of Horseshoe Resort, as we are tucked inside the resort itself, but I am very glad to hear that you were able to get help with finding us. It's great that you enjoy your orientation that is designed to teach you hot to properly and safely go through out our park and bringing a pair of gloves may be recommended when you come for a climb, but it is not required as it is by personal preference.

Some drink and snacks are also good idea's but nothing too bulky, as it may have to stay in your pockets for the durations of your climb. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed all the courses including Black, as it is our expert course and it definitely does take about an hour to complete which is by no means an easy feat.

thank you so much for coming and climbing with us and we hope to see you amongst the tree's very soon!

“Trekking vs. ZipLining”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

I tried the tree top trekking this past year and to be honest, did not like the trekking at all. It was something I could do but just did not get anything out of it. But in terms of the ziplining part of the trip that was awesome. Have heard about how great ziplining is and can now say that it is awesome. Have heard mixed reviews about the tree top trekking.

Hello Diorkate!
We are glad to hear that you did try our Treetop Trekking park, and thrilled that you enjoyed the zip lining! We do understand that you may bot have like the Tree trekking aspect of it because we are more than just a "zip -lining" park but in fact one would need to climb to get to the zip lines because they are built into our six aerial courses.

I would hope that you had the opportunity to climb our advanced course Purple as it has 4 zips to start off with, 5 games that a built more challenging, and 1 final zip to get out of the course! Of course if you don't make it to Purple, there is always our Big Zip of 1000ft long going about 45/KM!

I hope that you were able to enjoy the zip lining as much as possible, and would like to try out some of our other parks. Huntsville has a zip course of 7 long zip lines that you can do again and again!

“Great family time in the Treetops of Canada!”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

We had a wonderful time as a family, with teenagers 14 and 16, working through the seven rope/zip line courses in this very well designed attraction. It wasn't cheap (about $55 a person for a three hour visit), but being in nature with the family on a fun outing that test physical strength and stamina without being either dangerous (double clipped in, with triple attachments on the zip lines) or overly demanding. (The black course is the hardest and longest, taking nearly an hour to complete, but you don't have to do that if you don't want to, as there are six other very fun and relatively challenging courses.) You finish with the "Big Zip" of nearly 1,000 feet, and it is really quite a ride!

“Great place for family and/or friends”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Came to horseshoe Valley on July, 21, 2013 with my group of friends (10 of us in total).
We booked an appointment, as it was for someones birthday. Orientation was fast, fun and informative. Spent 11am-2pm doing all the games and the Big Zip(one long zip line). A great place to check out. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Every time i fell and was hanging, a staff always came under me to make sure I was okay. For sure a fun challenge with the games and a way to keep fit. Only thing to be cautious about is for people who are afraid of heights, I wouldnt recommend taking the black course. As its highest tree trek is 65 feet tall (6 stories high).

I will definitely go back at least once more before the summer is over.
