“Completely ignored.”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

We arrived and were ignored by the staff for over 20 minutes. Several tables arrived after us, and they were served. The cleaned tables around us, and never once offered us even water. I suggest you never eat here.

“Great dinner”
Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

Recently dined at bamboo Thai during business trip to Barrie. Hotel recommended. Service was great and so was the food. Had house special, spicy fried rice with shrimp and chicken. Portions were huge enough for two to share! Prices were great and would recommend !!

“Good with Great service”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

This restaurant has most of the traditional thai dishes with an elegant bamboo atmosphere.
There is also a Thai beer (in bottle) of both Tiger and Singha.

It is really in the middle of nowhere but worth a check out none-the-less.

All that is need now is a patio

“Humungous portions!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Whoa, the portions here are insane! The pad thai could feed a family of four, the spring rolls are DOUBLE the size of every other spring roll I've ordered in thai restaurants, the rice (for a $1.50 no less) was easily enough for three people (two of us shared one, and we still left lots behind), and the curries come in massive salad bowls! Come hungry, leave stuffed.

Overall, the food was pretty good, but we've had better curries at other thai places, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Still good though.

“Great little place, out of the way”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

My gf and I love it. The food is very good, the price is better than most Thai in the area and the serving is large. We have tried every Thai place I know of in Barrie and this one beats them all, hands down. Ever since visiting Thailand, I love the food. The gf enjoys it because its tasty and generally quite healthy. Servers are always friendly and prompt, there is lots of room so you don't have to wait and the cooks seem to actually make Thai food. They also serve Singha and Tiger!
Only down side is the pad thai - it's plain (although still a huge portion). If you want amazing pad thai, go elsewhere. If you like tom yum, curry and everything else - check out the Bamboo Thai. She suggests the seafood combo and I like the chicken panang.
