“nice farm but charging adults to stand with their kids. Are you for real?”
Reviewed October 15, 2011

THe farm is nice. THey have a little play area for the kids which they charge to get in, which is fine. But then they charge the adults to go in there also??!!??
there is NOTHING for an adult to do in there but supervise their kids.
It makes no sense and i would never go back.
total rip off.

“The only animals to feed are vultures (= the owners)”
Reviewed September 5, 2011

We have faithfully been going to Pingles for a few years and enjoyed the free family fun area (pedal toys, small petting zoo with goats and chickens, little sand hill, old tractor for kids to sit on, etc. - where parents usually spend up to an hour with kids). This was a motivator for us to buy their produce, toys, baked goods, cider, etc.). And we did not mind paying admission for special Halloween and Easter events as they brought in more attractions. HOWEVER, THEY ARE NOW CHARGING BOTH KIDS AND PARENTS ADMISSION (would be $16 for 2 kids and 2 adults) to the regular family fun area - which now includes a small jumping castle. This is ridiculous and 2 other couples with children (the only other people there during the hour we visited - even though the parking lot was full - clearly the admission is a turn off) agreed that they would never come back, as did we.

The only thing for parents to really do is watch their kids, which is doing Pingles a favour, so why charge them $4 each? To top it off, the EMPLOYEES are VERY RUDE! My wife and I alternated wearing the wrist ban (admission requirement) to supervise our 3 year old because 1 of us had to take care of the 2 week old baby + do the shopping = voluntarily pay Pingles more money in their store, even though we could certainly buy produce at a different store or another farm. I mean, do these guys have a monopoly on corn, cucumbers and tomatoes in Ontario! Ha!

Anyway, a few of the fools working for Pingles accosted us for alternating the wrist bands (we bought 1 for our 3 year old and 1 for a parent to supervise), saying we should not switch them between parents, even if the other parent was out buying stuff in their store or feeding the baby. This situation was unreal! They were totally rude and a witness (who we did not even know) could not believe how rude the Pingle's staff were. So, when you get down to it, PINGLES IS AN UNFRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT FOR FAMILIES AND THE ONLY ANIMALS YOU WILL FEED THERE ARE THE OWNERS, WO ARE CLEARLY VULTURES LOOKING TO MAKE A BUCK ANY WAY THEY CAN!!

Again, the other 2 couples with children attending also said they would never come back. The only reason all 3 families (who did not know each other before) paid to get in is because they drove 30 minutes or more to get there in the first place and reluctantly paid the admission. Is it really worth $4 per person for your family to spend less than an hour here. The consensus is 'no way', especially with all the rude employees. Why pay higher prices too for produce when they are behaving like this. WE WILL NEVER RETURN. Do yourself a favour and find another farm to visit...
