Wings are good. Nothing about this place made it stand out. They didn't actually have a lot of the drafts as posted in the menu. Laughable really.

Stopped off at the Split Crow in Halifax for wings and beer before the New Year's Eve celebrations at the Grand Parade. As it was early we got a good seat and the Bartender was right at our table to take our drink order.
The Food Waitress was along in a bit and took our food order. Service was quick and correct.
Ordered wings and spring rolls which were good. Also ordered potato skins. The Potato Skins were excellent.
Later in the evening there was some live entertainment.
Overall, a great little Pub to stop into. Will certainly go back again.

This place has been going for decades, serving as a hang out for college kids and younger professionals and their parents right in the heart of the city a few short steps from the ferry terminus, historic properties and Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design. I started going there in the late seventies and make a pilgrimage every time I am in Halifax. it is all about atmosphere with the music, pitchers of beer and pub fare the back drop for meeting old friends and their now adult children. Getting home is easy with ferry, bus, taxi and hotels very near as well as other downtown attractions hotels and restaurants close bye

A good place to rest for an hour or two if you are new to Halifax down town and just soaking up the atmosphere. For former Haligonians you can always find an old friend behind the bar or at a table.

So after a rough day at work and being a Wednesday the chocies for live music where few and far. But ran into some locals and they directed me to the Split Crow. Was surprised at the cover charge for an almost empty bar but the music sounded good so in we went.

Had a good time! Would go again.
