What a lovely meal and the server was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone loved their meals: Caesar salad, pizza, ravioli, chicken Parmesan, caprese salad and duck. Beautiful presentation too.

We hosted a meal for 11 guests to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday in June 2018. One waitress, Jacqueline, took care of the whole table expertly. She accommodated the needs of guests aged from 12 to 80 years old in a very friendly and efficient manner. The meal and dining experience was excellent! The wine was reasonably priced and the decor was warm and welcoming. We would highly recommend Cafe Chianti for a special group dinner.

Tucked away a little out of the way this place is really good for Italian food. Excellent salad to start presented beautifully, warm bread and superb crab ravilolli. Excellent and well informed service. Could not manage dessert but those who did have them said they were awesome. They certainly looked it!

Calamari will be hard to surpass even for me and the EasyGreek! Epic meal!!! Server Sonny fantastic and so intuitive ✨
Lobster cream sauce on halibut and potatoes, homemade strawberry sorbet with white chocolate and shortcake. Both dreaming about this meal for a very long time, will go back for sure.

I had not been to Café Chianti for a couple years. New Year's 2015 I think. Myself, my wife, sister and Mother arrived on Tuesday night as my sister had just arrived in town and we wanted a nice supper to celebrate the occasion.

We were pleasantly greeted at the door by the host and sat in the main dining room. Our server Jay went over the specials and I ordered a bottle of wine. He suggested a amarone that was not on the wine list but it was a great choice.

For starters our group shared the risotto balls and calamari. The risotto was served with two sauces both of which were amazing. The calamari came covered in a tomato based sauce. I would prefer to dip the calamari however the sauce was very well received.

For the main course our group ordered the seafood pasta, 2 lobster ravioli and the tenderloin. I tried all three dished and they were all excellent.

The seafood pasta was the biggest portion and certainly a table favorite. Lobster Ravioli was a traditional smaller portion but very tasty, rich and filling. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection with an amazing jus and vegetables.

Dessert was a shared Lemon Cheesecake and Tiramisu both of which were fantastic.

The price is consistent with other fine dining restaurants in Halifax.

It was quite busy there for a Tuesday night however with food like this it's not surprizing.
