Finally a restaurant that is cosy, comfortable, pleasing decor, lovely ambiance and you can have a conversation with your dinner companions while enjoying wonderful food !!! Rare experience in the current trend of restaurants that are more loud boisterous bars than relaxing gourmet experiences or over the top pretentious " foodies ". The decor is pleasant with warm brick walls, cosy tables and yet enough light from the street level windows that it is not too dark. Menu with something for everyone. Warm bread served with whipped butter tender but with just the right substance . Salmon with risotto, cooked to perfection, not dry but seared perfectly, served with garden fresh green beans and carrots . Haddock, a light white fish really only found fresh on the East coast , seared again to perfection, flakey, moist and served with a tomato brochette . This restaurant serves delicious food, with friendly attentive staff in a super comfortable atmosphere . As they say " You Gotta Eat Here !! "

Ate here one Sunday evening a couple of weeks ago. Atmosphere still charming, fireplace, cozy, very good service.

Food however was not as good as in the past. Lamb burger didn't have much flavor and was overcooked although I had asked for it to be juicy. To their favor though, the waiter didn't charge me for it. The dips had too mayonaise . My husband's meal was just okay.

We had our small wedding dinner reception at the Cellar (party of 16) and the food was delicious and the service was superb and unobtrusive!!.

Will be making this our go-to restaurant for that special little dinner out..

My wife and I dropped in on the way to a movie on a very chilly day last month. We sat in the front area by the fireplace. This section is by the bar and is a little less formal than the area in the back which is very good also (from a previous visit) and has an Italian feel to it. Very old building and lots of cool exposed brick downstairs give this place a nice, laid back atmosphere. I had the baked lasagna and my wife had the fish chowder and both were great. Service was also very friendly. Can't wait to return for the full meal treatment!!
