We were a party of six taking a tour of the city and Peggy's Cove. Our tour guide was Al and he made the entire tour a memorable experience. His knowledge was outstanding and a great time was had by all. I would highly recommend using this tour group. You will not be disappointed!

Our tour with Halifax Cruise Ship Taxi Tours was exceptional. Because we were docking in Halifax from a Cruise ship, we had only a set amount of time to get a taste of the area. Lucinda, the owner of the company, tailored our tour to our specific needs and desires. We were able to jam into that time a tour of Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and Chester with Peggy's Cove. Most tours separate those destinations. Richard, our guide, was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable.. He met us at the pier and dropped us there when we were finished. With the touring, we were also able to stop a lobster establishment for a full 3 lb. lobster for lunch. The whole experience was easy and affordable and very enjoyable. It is something we would definitely recommend to other people.

In anticipation of a port stop in Halifax on a recent New England/Canada cruise out of Boston, I checked Trip Advisor and found outstanding reviews on this tour company. I sent the office an email and Lucinda replied immediately. I was traveling with my adult daughter and a tour for just the two of us would have been too costly; Lucinda wasted no time in contacting me when a family of 3 from Florida contacted her about a day tour and we were able to share the van and the cost with them.

Al met us at the ship terminal and our wonderful day in Halifax began. It was a drizzly day but that didn't stop us. We thoroughly enjoyed Al's knowledge of Fairview Cemetery where 121 of the Titanic victims are buried. Quite a story! On to the famous Ryer's Lobster Shack and Peggy's Cove. Al called Ryer's and gave our lunch order and after a fun stop at Peggy's Cove, we headed back to Ryer's for the freshest, most delicious lobster lunch. Al entertained us with stories and anecdotes and shared his love of Halifax with us. He was a delightful guide, stopping every time we saw a photo op.

From start to finish, this tour company lived up to its great reviews. Don't hesitate to contact them if your plans include a visit to lovely Halifax.

Our family of five took the Holland America cruise from Boston to Quebec in July 2013. Having read great review for Halifax Cruise Ship Taxi Tours, we decided to try this for a more personalized experience and, of course, lower costs compared to those offered by Holland America. This turned out great! Our tour guide (sorry for forgetting the name, which was probably Al) knew everything there was to know about the city and surrounding areas. The stop at the Titanic victim grave site was interesting for us who loved the movie. Peggy's Cove was a nice little fishing village from the past. The stop at the lobster shack was memorable where for the first time I learned (from the tour guide) how to eat a whole steamed lobster the right way. The Maple syrup factory had this Maple syrup peanut brittle that was so delicious we bought like 20 bags to share with friends and relatives at home. (A close friend of mine in Houston actually asked for a second bag because his family liked it so much.).

One thing we could have done better was shorten the trip to perhaps 3 hours by doing less sight seeing in the van. We loved it but 5 hours was too long for some of us.

Tried to find a tour and none were going my only day available. Lucinda at the office was friendly and helped put me in touch with a fellow traveler and we agreed to share the tour and hourly rate. We managed to see Chester, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove (and the Swiss Air monument) and Lunenburg all in a 9 hour day. Richard, our guide, was full of information on the air and the history. He was very patient and gave us lots of options to choose from and a pleasant person t spend a day with. He also took us to Ryers for lunch, great 2lb lobster for less than $20, quite a deal and the best lobster I've ever had. Overall, highly recommend this company and their service. We had a great day out and it was customized to our wants and needs.
