We only had one day to see the city and this was a good option! Very funny and knowledgeable guide and the water portion was a hoot! By chance we discovered the little train in the same parking lot which drops you at different spots all over the city. It’s donations only, runs every 30 mins and got us down to Pier 21 without walking in the very cold weather. Highly recommend both of these to do a one day visit

Hello elisabethbetsz,

The Harbour Hopper Tour is indeed the PERFECT tour for those visiting the city and on a tight schedule- and getting on board the Halifax Community Road Train would have been a bonus. We're glad that you were able to experience both and we truly hope that your next visit to the city will allow for more time to explore!

This tour uses amphibious retrofitted army vehicles to tour Halifax on land and in the harbor. The tour guide told us the vehicle we were in was used in Vietnam and came to them with bullet holes in it. The tour guide was excellent in explaining the history and important dates and events in Halifax.

Glad to have had you aboard the Harbour Hopper Tour! We're pleased that you enjoyed the overall experience but we are curious to know what you enjoyed most- the tour on land or out on the water? Please share if you're able.

This land and water tour of Halifax and harbor operates comfortable, safe vehicles for land and water. Our experience was ruined by the tour guide who received and made telephone calls instead of addressing his audience as we passed city attractions and who turned the story of the Great Halifax Explosion of 1917 into his own comedic routine. Disrespectful and unwelcome performance.

The Harbour Hopper amphibious tour in Halifax, which takes passengers through downtown and for a brief but fascinating trip out on the water.

It’s a beautiful city, and shows its best face when you’re gazing from the harbour. Halifax is built on steep grades, so you see a lilot of the layout from the water, plus four Halifax class Friggates, a Submarine, and an American Destroyer moored along the shore.

Best surprise of the tour was Abigale, our tour guide. Take the tour and see her cheap before she’s famous.

Thanks for leaving us such a great review! I know Abigale and the rest of the guides and captains work extremely hard to ensure all of our guests leave inormed about Halifax's amazing history while being entertained!

This tour was a great way to see the downtown and harbour and learn some of the history at the same time.
For those that are nervous about the vehicle, it was extremely safe and there was nothing to be concerned about.
Our guide (Amy) was great. Although she had a broken ankle and was suffering a cold, she was a real trooper and did a fabulous job.

The tour itself is truly fantastic- not only the journey on land and sea, but also our guides and captains, so it's no surprise that that our guide did such a fabulous job. What was your favourite part of the tour- was it on land or sea? Thanks.

We enjoyed the 50 minutes Harbor Hopper tour which provides a land tour and also goes into the water to provide a harbor tour. Our guide was Graham who was quite enthusiastic and presented very good information. However, it was sometimes hard to hear the commentary.
Cost seemed high (We did receive a senior rate but a booking charge was added even though we bought our tickets at the tours.)

As a resident of Halifax for 64 years I actually learned things I did not know. The event was totally relaxing, informative and met some visitors to our city. I have never taken this tour before (even though I live and worked here) and TOTALLY enjoyed it. Just wish the tour included more. Even if it cost more!

Hi mosherb2,

We very often hear this from may locals and we're glad that those who live in the city, continue to check us out not only for the adventure but also for the tidbits of information unbeknownst to them. Thanks for this kind review and rating. We hope that this won't be your last visit on the Harbour Hopper tour.

This was a rip-off. Too expensive The tour guides were very nice but the price of the tour did not live up to what we expected. I would not recommend it.

This was an excellent and very informative tour. The tour guide was full of information. Take the 11;45 tour and you may stop at the Citadel for the 12 noon cannon fire. Nice view from the water of the waterfront area of Halifax.

Took a very pleasant ride on Murphy harbour hopper and with the help of Nicola the guide learnt all I needed to know about this city in Canada
The ride takes in some very steep streets up to the citadel and then back down to the bay where the hopper takes on the water with ease
If short on time or difficulty walking this is the perfect way to see Halifax

Hello Alison S,

We're very glad that you enjoyed your Harbour Hopper Tour! It really is a great option for those pressed for time or for individuals who have mobility issues. The hills in downtown Halifax can be a little much at times so we're happy to do the work! We're curious to know, what was your favourite part of the Harbour Hopper Tour?
