This nicely manicured English-styled Garden was a lovely place to sit and while away a lovely warm afternoon.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

It was late afternoon and the fog was rolling in while we visited. Nonetheless, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the Public Gardens. This is a true Victorian garden layout with lots of beautiful flowers and statues, but also intricate bed layouts.

“Beautiful and Interesting”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We biked through Halifax, which was an excellent idea. This park was splendid. This is a formal garden. We got to see a tree that was planted by Queen Elizabeth. The flowers were in full bloom. The fountain was splashing. The fat, healthy, ducks swam in a big pond. The people were friendly and helped with picture taking.

A perfectly maintained garden, right in the heart of the downtown Halifax area! Grounds were lovely, with many convenient benches for contemplation and some beautiful statues and floral tributes. A must-see!

A great day to visit these lovely gardens. We enjoyed the symmetry of the flowers. Every area was very well-maintained. Plenty of benches to just sit and enjoy the view!
