Owner description: HMCS Sackville, the last remaining Flower Class corvette in the world, symbolizes the extraordinary effort of Canadians seventy years ago during the Second World War. Restored to her wartime configuration she serves as a museum and memorial to those lost during the Battle of the Atlantic and to honour those who serve and continue to serve in the Naval Service of Canada. HMCS Sackville is berthed at Sackville Landing adjacent to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in the summer and in HMC Dockyard during the winter.

The last WWII vintage corvette to be decommissioned, the "Sackville" should be toured, enjoyed and respected. Such a little ship to be out in the Atlantic, defending the convoys.

Just be thankful!!!!

My dad crossed the north atlantic 36 times in 3 different corvettes, and to see how small these ships were, especially after getting off a 900 ft. cruise ship was amazing. It was very touching for me to see what my dad and the war vets did to make this country what it is. This was a Canadian made ship and is a special part of our history for all to see. My dad will be looking forward to hearing my thoughts . It.s a short self guided tour for a small fee

We toured H.M.C.S. Sackville tied up at the downtown wharf in Halifax as a memorial to all the Corvettes used as escorts to convoys crossing the Atlantic in WW II. It was hard to imagine living in such close quarters on stormy seas, and a well presented historical explanation of the role of the vessel and its crew.

My husband really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide "Denis" gave us some really incredible information about the ship and the times. It was remarkable how good of condition the ship was in - no it wasn't in runing order.
