We stopped to see the approximately 300 graves for the Titantic victims. It was very moving as about 1/2 of the headstones have no names, and some with names have additional information. While almost all are men, there was a young mother with 4 young children buried there. The headstones are organized like the bow of a ship which is interesting.

We visited this beautiful Cemetary because I am a fan of anything Titanic, it was a beautiful place, the area where the grave stones is in the shape of a ships bow and, all graves are marked, I took my reference book with me so I had history of many of the victims, read up or study a little before you go in. The stories provided by the tour guide where very interesting. This cemetary also has the victims of the great Halifax explosion that nearly took out the city. This cemetary has some fascinating History, well worth the time to see it.

Interesting seeing the graves of the victims of the Titanic. Read up on the people buried here ahead of time or book a guided tour.
We just showed up and wished we had more info. Tagged on to a bit of tour commentary and the stories were quite fascinating.

This burial site is such a piece of history, it should not be missed on a trip to Halifax. As you walk thru the gravestones and read the inscriptions of their loved ones you will be truly moved. The care that was taken to preserve any remains of the victims is amazing.

We visited this very well kept cemetery as a part of our tour of the Halifax area. Our guide shared some stories of a few of the victims. It was also the burial site for many victims of the Halifax explosion. It was well worth the time to stop here and see this place and remember those who lost their life in such a tragic way.
