We stayed at the Marriott for a conference this Spring. The hotel is well-appointed and very clean. This is a very good conference/tourist hotel as it is close to everything and very professionally run. However, little things were annoying - no fridge in the room for instance. The most annoying thing for the traveller is no "free' internet in the room - it costs about $13/day extra. Not a big deal if you have an expense account. The thing is...most other hotels have free WiFi or wired high-speed internet - even other Marriotts. There is a trick however. There is free WiFi in the lobby, but you have to get a code from the front desk. With that code you can access WiFi pretty much throughout the hotel, including guest rooms. Most folks at our conference figured this out pretty quickly - a good thing to know.

This is a great hotel in downtown Halifax - close to the financial district, attached to Purdy's Wharf, Scotia Plaza and your can make it to the Metro Center indoors. Nice pool, ok fitness area, two restaurant choices. Rooms are roomy and comfortable

spent a weekend at this hotel. The hotel is in a very good location. The building and rooms are very well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the live entertainment at the Fife and Drum pub which is just off the lobby. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was part of tour. On the waterfront, with good views. Lots to see and do within walking distance. Very clean city. Business center with 3 free computers. Casino down the block, but didn't go. Cow's Ice Cream next door.

The hotel was great. It had an awesome location (casino attached via indoor walkways, right on the waterfront, amenities everywhere, Lower Depth bar/club right across from it). However, missing amenities such as internet, room fridge that are expected if you're paying 4-star prices.
