Enjoyed our walk in this beautiful park and its wide open trails that are clearly marked and led to interesting historic features as well as peaceful waterfront areas. Great place for a relaxing walk, dog walking or a picnic.

Downtown Halifax offers a great boardwalk, but if you prefer trails or rocky beach views, you might find Point Pleasant Park a nice place to explore. (If you go clambering on the rocks along the shore, be cautious -- they can be very slippery.)

The park trails are very accessible -- more like pedestrian-only roads. There's a snack bar at the main parking lot, and washrooms at two locations along the perimeter trail. The park seemed quite popular with local runners, even on a rainy day. It was a 30-40 minute walk from downtown Halifax, which suggests it's a quick bike or drive.

I have been to many places but the point pleasant Park is still one of my favourite parks in the entire world. It is very relaxing and arborised with the remains of what used to be the naval defense of the city like ruins, towers and cannons.

You will frequently see locals with their families, dogs or friends/alone all year around, summer and winter.

During the weekdays you can ride your bike through the park with is quite pleasant.

At te bottom of the park you will have a beautiful view of the ocean. The only unpleasant sight is at the end of the path when you come across the ugly port were goods are shipped from many countries into Canada.

Living in Halifax or visiting, the point pleasant Park is an excellent all year around place to visit for nature lovers.
