Great Place to relax and go for a stroll. Take a couple hours and walk near the ocean and nature trails and forget about lifes problems.

If you want spectacular water vistas, walk amongst the trees, hear the birds sing, this is your spot. Watch for the Shakespeare by the Sea programs in summer. This is not a highly developed tourist trap but rather a gentle peaceful experience.

Point Pleasant Park is a wonderful, natural place to walk on your own, with pets, with a loved one, with children. Long winding paths and a park by the sea should be a regular visiting place.

No visit to Halifax for anyone spending more than a day or two would be complete without experiencing the splendours of the 75 acres of this woodland paradise .Easily accessible from downtown Halifax the Park has numeorus walking trails as well as a trail that takes in a circumference alongside the mouth of Halifax Harbour and the beautiful waters of the so-called "Northwest Arm". There is a beach and numeorus picnic areas, and many remembrances of Halifax's historic past including forts, fountains and monuments. The Park is a favourite for joggers (including President Bill Clinton during a Halifax visit.)
