This is a well know city park. It has several trails and if you are looking for a place to jog or take a walk this is a great spot. There is an off leash area to take your dog and it is always popular. Watch for summer dates of Shakespeare By The Sea, as it is a fun evening event in the park.

After a rather large breakfast, we spent the rest of the morning walking the various trails in this park. As the park is at the entrance of the Halifax harbour, it has also hosted defences for centuries. The ruins of several forts can be found along these trails, many with information panels or interpretrators.

This is the best park to walk and if you have a dog then your canine can enjoy the visit also. Very clean and well situated in Halifax

We drive into Halifax regularly to take our dog for a walk in the off-leash area and we absolutely love the scenery and the friendliness of the other dog walkers. A must for a dog owner. Oh and there is area for non-dog owners so if dogs are not your thing it is still a beautiful spot for walking/running.
