This is a very well done attraction. Lots of interactive displays and really lets you feel how it must have felt to arrive here after a long journey. Made me very proud to be a Canadian.

Pier 21 has a reasonable entry fee and a unique film on 3D film screens that depict immigration into Canada. The research room has eager staff who are well trained to seek out genealogical info with a minimum of data. Quick to please.

I loved visiting here...seeing all the information on what it was like for immigrants coming into Canada. The sights and sounds. I really want to come back here - find information on my own family that would have come over in the 50s. Definite must do...especially if you are a history buff.

This museum presents an interesting glimpse into the immigrant experience in Canada, which varied somewhat from similar experiences in the US.

A very comprehensive display that is supported by a very good guided tour. This is modern history that you can get immersed in. Amazing the deprivations that had to be endured by immigrants but it's easy to see why Canadians are so patriotic; I believe it is one reason why Canadians are so friendly and welcoming.
Suggest you set aside about 3 hours to get full advantage of the exhibit.
