Just another fort. Nothing special about this particular fort. I spent 4 days in Halifax. If you are visiting from a cruise ship, there are much better things to do and see. The first thing you need to know is Get Out of Halifax. The only thing worth seeing in Halifax was the cemetery with the grave sites of the Titanic Disaster. Once you've done that Leave town. Head out to wine country. If your tour doesn't stop at Luckett's winery find one that does. Lucketts has great wine, great views, wonderful staff and a British phone booth in the middle of the vineyard that you can make a FREE phone call from. The most extraordinary event in Nova Scotia happens twice a day at the Bay of Fundy. The Largest tidal shed in the world occurs here, up to 53 feet differences between High and low tides. This you should not miss. Cruisers get out of Halifax. The food is small portioned and over priced. It is gigantic portioned and cheap up on the Bay of Fundy. Skip the fort and go have fun in Fundy.
