Went to this pub for some live music on a Thursday night in March 2014 based on a recommendation from a waiter at another pub, and had a great time; very good food, decent & reasonably priced drink specials and the music was great. In fact, there were two bands, and this was the only venue I found during my stay in Halifax (4 days) that had the true East Coast music I was looking for.
Go early in the evening though, or you won't get in. Halifax seems to be a hard place to get out and enjoy yourself on the weekends, there are far too many people and just not enough pubs (good ones, at least). Plan on standing in line, and good luck getting a table if it's later on in the evening...............
