“Great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I ventured here for breakfast. We had been staying at the Prince George Hotel, but no hotel priced breakfast for us. Anna's Cafe was a good choice, as it turned out. Anna was there, in person, with a friendly greeting. The food was standard breakfast fare, but if you are not a fan of home fries, simply substitute fresh fruit. By the way, the home fries were actually made on site. No deep fried packaged home fries. I saw Anna cutting up the potatoes herself. Bacon, eggs, toast, home fries, coffee for around $10.00 or less. Good value, we thought.

“Very bad”

I ate lunch there once, the rice was old and smelled bad...everything else was a stomach ache...not recommended at all, if your looking for similar cuisine you can find much better than this one

“Great, homestyle food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

I went to Anna's Cafe & Grill twice during my most recent stay in Halifax. The food was great (in fact, it was my favorite place I visited for breakfast) and the staff were friendly.

The homefries were a little inconsistent each time (one time they were underdone and only warm) but the bacon and eggs I had were great. You'd be surprised how many places seem to make mediocre bacon and eggs, but this place wasn't one of them!

I'd recommend this place for a casual breakfast anytime.

“Good breakfast.....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

......at a reasonable price. Friendly and efficient service. The breakfast wrap was really good. Newspapers were provided. Far and away better value than the hotel we stayed at. Make the walk; you'll be glad you did.

“The Best Homemadefood in Halifax! Vegetarian and healthy.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Very tasty and homemade food; it has saved our "vegetarian life" in Halifax. Falafel, beans-salad, greek-salad, delicious cous-cous salad, lentils with rice and many more (they have meat stuff as well). Nutritious, low fat and definitely very different from the rest off pizza- hamburger- doughnut- fisch&chips- sticky and fat stuff, that you can buy in other places.
And whats more; absolutely cheap for the Canadian conditions. Falafel-Platter for 7.99$ and it was enough for us both. Very friendly staff and central location.
Thank you for the food!
Greetings from germany-berlin.
