Excellent menu choice. We had the Lasagne and garlic bread and it was very good. Saw someone having a salad and it looked good too. Menu prices were reasonable for the food but the bottled beer was too expensive

The seafood here is always fresh and tasty. Too bad that canned peas are part of the deal. With so much fresh produce available this time of year, and frozen peas available in other seasons, why would this establishment serve such bland, faded, tasteless veggies. We always eat here when we land in Digby and will continue to do so. But we will ask the staff to hold the peas.

Casual and comfortable restaurant with locals and tourists alike. Haddock was excellent and fish and chips great. Good prices. Was on the better meals on our NS trip

We were looking for a place to enjoy lunch and spotted this restaurant downtown. It was a hot sunny day so asked to sit on the patio. The glass table was dirty but the waitress cleaned it off. One party member had fish & chips @ $9.99. The batter wasn't that good and very brown. Another had the Ceaser salad with chicken. She could not eat it as dressing was poor and the chicken was pieces of what looked like, leftover brown chicken. The scallop diner consisted of 5 scallops which were cooked well, but served with mashed potatoes & peas & corn. Definitely not worth $15.99. The last dish I had was a hot lobster sandwich for $15.99. I would estimate at most, 5 small pieces of knuckles in a thick white sauce over one piece of garlic toast. Clara Harris who invented this dish would be extremely disappointed. This came as well with mashed potatoes, canned peas & corn. Considering lobster was selling down the street for $4.00/lb I would say they could make 4 or 5 servings from one. The waitress breezed by asking if everything was ok but wasn't really interested in our response. When paying the bill, I gave feedback as did not feel it was worth $70.00. She said I should have told her before and she would have adjusted the bill, but didn't offer to do so. I would not recommend.

We went here because we overheard someone on the sidewalk behind us say "Apparently, the Captain's Cabin is the place to eat." Although they were certainly edible, they were the worst scallops I've ever had and they came with frozen vegetables and 2 ice-cream scoops of mashed potatoes. Really? With the Annapolis Valley just a stone's throw away and it's August, frozen corn is the best you could come up with? Next time, we'll go with the first place we wanted to go which I cannot recall the name of, but they served RAPPIE PIE for lunch (unfortunately, not for dinner!)
