This is a beautiful inn in Smith's Cove, Nova Scotia. Our room was spacious and very clean. The innkeepers were friendly and very helpful. The inn is located in a beautiful, secluded area. It has a gorgeous interior space including a sitting room, sun room and breakfast room. The buffet breakfast was delicious and included at least one hot food each morning. The grounds of the inn are beautifully maintained with gardens and potted plants. What a great place to relax at an incredibly reasonable price!

Our family of four stayed at the Harbourview Inn at the end of July for four nights and really enjoyed it. The two owners and their staff are friendly and helpful, breakfasts are very good and the conservatory style dining room is peaceful and pleasant. The flower filled verandah is the ideal place to watch for the humming birds coming to feed which we did regularly while finishing our coffee from breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the pool which is large for this type of inn and was usually quiet too. The relaxing atmosphere was wonderful and something I've tried to take away with me....

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The Inn is very comfortable and welcoming It was conveniently located to be able to see the sights of the area. The breakfasts were very good and served on the enclosed porch. There is free internet - only one computer but it was never busy when I wanted to use it. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I were 10 days in to our first visit to Canada, with 2 weeks left to go, when we arrived at the Harbourview Inn for 3 nights in July 2006. We felt at home as soon as we walked in and were very pleased with the decoration, cleanliness and facilities offered and its quiet location. We were lucky to have good weather and it was lovely to be able to leave the screened windows wide open at night to feel the breeze and hear the sounds of the countryside. Breakfast was plentiful, beautifully presented and varied each of morning of our stay. The homemade jams were amazing. Although the location was a bit off the beaten track, there was a choice of restaurants in Digby only about 10 minutes drive away, and it was a good location to visit some of the sights in the area - Fort Royal, Annapolis Royal, Bear River and Briers Island. The day we went whale watching from Briers Island turned foggy and a bit cold but we were rewarded with the amazing sight of several humpback whales.
Overall, out of all the places we stayed in during our tour of Nova Scotia, the Harbourview Inn was one of the nicest.

Having read the reviews on tripadvisor we wondered if any B&B really could be that good - we were not dosappointed. What a wonderful find! The Harbourview is in a great location just across from the bay which our children loved exploring and toasting marshmallows on in the evening - equipment all provided by the Inn. The Harbourview has sucha warm, welcoming atmosphere that you immediately feel at home. We stayed in the waterview suite which was very spacious for a family of four. All the rooms we saw were excellent though and would happily have stayed in any of them. The bathroom was spotless and had an excellent shower over the bath - nothing wishy-washy about it. The breakfast each morning was excellent with a different hot choice each day, lovely fresh fruit to start with, cereals, toast and bagels and delicious home made jams. Endless juice and coffee. Perfect for setting you up for a long day whale watching which the proprietors Darren and Vance had arranged for us. We went with Brier Island Whale watching and had a fabulous day with lots of whales, and such a beautiful drive down. Be sure to call in at Lake Midway on your way to or from Brier Island - it is a lovely spot and great for a picnic and refreshing swim if the weather is good. We had five days of near perfect weather which was great for using the tennis court and swimming pool which you have access to when staying here. The town of Digby is only a ten minute drive and has two huge supermarkets for picking up picnic items. It has a very pretty harbourfront and some excellent seafood restaurants. Be sure to also visit Bear River and Annapolis Royal whilst you are here.

Darren and Vance will make sure you get the most out of your stay. Nothing seems too much trouble for them - they are so helpful. Evenings are very relaxing there too - with very comfortable lounge areas or relaxing with a drink on the veranda. It was the best part of a three week tour of Canada for us. You will not be disappointed!
