Don't let the size of the joint or the word "cafe" fool you--this is excellent food lovingly cooked.
There are only a handful of tables, so make a reservation. Tony had a table all set up for me at both dinner and breakfast (I was staying at their inn, The Holdsworth House; breakfast is included, and dinner is an additional cost). I got a lot of personal attention, and when Margaret had a moment to wipe her brow and come out of the kitchen, she stopped by each table to see how people were doing.
Dinner: perfectly pan-seared scallops with grilled veggies and new potatoes. Dessert: an ice cream sandwich that required a spoon. Yum! I took the long walk back to the inn to work some of that dinner off!
The next morning's breakfast: French toast with blueberries and homemade sausage.
All of this with water views over the harbor. Absolutely perfect.
