The staff embrace you with their welcoming presence. They go out of their way to be accomodiating and helpful.
The Resort is a regal place from a by gone era with all its charm.
The Chef is fantastic and we found ourselves looking forward to dining every evening at the resort. The daily specials are great.Reasonably priced (approx $25+) His blend of flavors and textures are amazing. It must be noted that the Wednesday special is Prime Rib, soup/salad and desert. All to die for. Even the local people dine there on Wednesday so I would suggest you make a reservation.

Room Tip: The ocean view is great but the garden view is also nice. There are really no bad views.

What a beautiful place: the views, the grounds, the building were all so nice. The staff was very professional. We found Pam and Anita at the front desk to be the BEST. Only there for two nights, wish it had been longer.

This is an immaculately kept property with exceptional staff that are very professional, helpful, and friendly, but the rooms are disappointing. The resort was built in an earlier age when rooms were much smaller, bathrooms were functional, not comfortable, and power outlets were few and far between. If you are aware of these restrictions and are okay with them, this is a great place to stay. Just don't expect this to be the Marriott Courtyard in Halifax.

Thank you for writing a review and sharing your feedback. We're happy you received quality service and enjoyed your stay with us. The historic property was built in 1929 and we have invested into upgrades to restore and update our heritage resort. Due to the history of our resort, some of the rooms are smaller than others and we're sorry you experienced a smaller guest room.

We hope to welcome you back to the Digby area again soon.

While this is a bit expensive it is a lot of fun for the whole family.
We spent the Canada day week-end here with another family. We shared cabin 1 - it was perfect for us. 3 adults and 5 children.
We arrived at lunch to a quick check in and a breathtaking view at lunch. We sat on the back terrace and watched the fundy tide go out. The kids ran around the grass and played with water guns by the pool. Water toys were provided by the resort.

The meals at dinner are expensive but the kids eat for %50 off which made a huge difference. The food is very good and the wine selection is actually quite good as well.

We spent the next two days exploring the beach area, playing by the ocean, swimming in the pool, playing shuffle board, tennis, chess and then after dinner they had a bonfire with marshmallows. The kids were in heaven.

Breakfast was included and quite good.

I would recommend this resort for golfers ( we did not get to golf this time but everyone else there seemed to be and loving it), couples, families...something for everyone. We will go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the ocean or if in a cabin ask for one with a view of the ocean and not in the...

We spent one night here prior to catching the ferry to St. John. We booked the dinner, bed & breakfast package which is a great value. This an old resort that has been beautifully maintained. Our king bedded room provided a view of the Digby basin. The room while small was clean and did provide 2 wingback chairs for watching TV at night. The bath was small as well but again clean with plenty of towels. Even thought the resort was pretty full there was little if any noise to bother one's sleep.
The breakfast buffet was like one you would find at major city hotel on a Sunday morning. Amazing choice of hot and cold foods and the service was great as well.
The grounds were nicely kept and there are several walks you can around the resort.

Room Tip: Book the dinner, bed & breakfast package.

Love this hotel! The best one we have stayed in NS. We went to Brier island for whale watching and no luck at all. But we luckily found this resort. Hotel room only 125 per night with full breakfast. ( even cheaper than a motel room!) the main building is a very old historic building, which is what we like. The room is modern and clean with plenty of facility. A large swimming pool is heated, very large property with its own hiking trail! We decide to stay one more night to enjoy the resort and historical building. Digby has nothing but the resort is definitely a hidden gem!
Oh, we had dinner at resort's resteraunt -- chruchill hill room? The food is sooooo good. We had lamb, Digby scallopes, duck, pork belly....mmmmm so good! We definitely will just come back for the resort.
At night, they even have Bon fire and marshmallows for kids! Beautiful room overlook the water and watch fog rolling through the little town of Digby! We are going to hide this place for ourselves, lol.
