We were here right at the beginning of the season (end of May) so not everything was open and there were few other people around. The weather wasn't great but that didn't stop us from enjoying the scenery and the sights. A highlight was Meat Cove, off the Cabot Trail but worth the extra drive. The views were supurb and we were lucky enough to see a whale frolicking in the bay below. We loved the little museum in Cheticamp. The hooked rugs are amazing. We loved feeling like we had the place to ourselves -the trails, the beachs. We didn't see many other pople or wildlife. This is a very special part of Canada.

Go in the fall if you can. The colors are spectacular, but regardless, the vistas around various turns in the road can take your breath away.

Stunning but little worried about coyotes! Though told to take big stick and watch out for biting insects

The Cabot trail is well worth driving. I would love to go on a motorcycle sometime, however, went in a vehicle and it was stunning. I saw it in the summer, probably most ideal for driving, however, i imagine the changing colors in the fall would be a sight to see.
