“Its OK...”

This isn't an amazingly inspiring hike, the only really magical moment is at the end (or atleast it should be the end, it might be in the middle if you make the same mistake I did). When you arrive, after a short hike you will come to a fork... the left or south trail and the right or north trail, do not take the north trail. Follow the south trail to the mid-point, a series of boardwalks that take you down the mountain towards the water. From here you do get an amazing view of the Gulf of St Lawrence and the Cabot trail as it winds its way south, afterwards, return the way you came... do not continue along the path past this point, it is SO dull.

BTW... its north of Cheticamp, it's not near Ingonish.

“The hike to do at Cabot Trail”

If you just got one shot, try this hike. The views are fantastic. But take the short route, the longer one had almost all viewpoints covered by trees now.

“On the edge!”

This is the best trail to do if you only have time to do one. It takes about 2 hours to do in full and it is an easy walk suitable for pretty much anyone. Views are amazing when you get to the look off. You can also see a fair amount of wild life on the way including moose if you are lucky.

“what a view!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

My wife and I did the skyline Trail this past weekend. We did the longer loop and totally enjoyed the experience. Had a friendly encounter with one of the resident moose. Very easy trail to and the view at the end was breathtaking. Highly recommend.
