“Exceptional B&B at the end of the carriage trail.”

Located on an old coach road (that now says "no exit") the Azelia B&B is worth going out of your way for. It's an easy drive out of Antigonish, make a left towards Clydesdale and then a left on Connor road. Then drive to the end of the gravel road, about 1/3 mile. The yellow house is Al's childhood home and remarkably maintained. The king bed room is magnificent and so very quiet. And we were so busy during breakfast collecting Mary Pat's recipes, we almost forgot to leave. We highly recommend the Azelia. It's the best B&B experience anywhere.

My wife and I stayed at the Azelia Farmhouse for 1 night in August... but wished we could have stayed there longer!

Mary Pat and Al were friendly and very welcoming. They made us feel totally at home, though with enough private space not to feel crowded. They helped us find a restaurant in town and bike routes for the morning.

Breakfast was completely delicious! We had Mary Pat's special nut pancakes and the table was full of fruits, yogurts, juice and coffee. We even got coffees placed quietly outside our room at 7:00 - just the time we asked for and the perfect start to the day.

You should seriously include Antigonish in your travel plans for Nova Scotia, just so you can stay here. You'll love it.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Azelia during our trip to Nova Scotia. The hosts - Al and Mary Pat - are the most lovely and welcoming people you can imagine - they genuinely seem to enjoy having guests in their home and bend over backwards to make sure they have a great stay. The property is maintained with care and is a very short drive to the main street of Antigonish. It's lovely and quiet - great for sleeping. Our room was very comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a B&B - huge portions of delicious, homemade food - in our case, hazelnut pancakes with a maple cream, cinnamon buns, fresh fruit, bacon, etc. We really just stopped in for the night to break up the driving for a further destination, but I wish we could have stayed longer to relax in the countryside.

Azelia is the nicest Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed at.
The rooms are extraordinarily well appointed and maintained. Cleanliness is beyond spotlessly clean. The breakfast meals are of theatrical presentation and fantastic quality. And, of course I cannot say enough about the friendliness and warmth Mary Pat and Al are surrounding you with during your stay. Thank you again and again!

There's not much to add to the numerous "excellent" Tripadvisor reviews for Azelia Farmhouse B&B and its wonderful owners. Beautiful setting, top-notch B&B, gracious and friendly hosts, all needs seen to. Clearly the owners have thought about how they'd like to be treated at a B&B. The location couldn't be better -- rural yet a convenient distance from the college town of Antigonish. Whether you're on your way to/from Cape Breton or to/from Bay of Fundy, NB, or PEI, Azelia is absolutely worth a stop. It was the last B&B we stayed at on our trip to Nova Scotia and although we were very positive about all the places we stayed (having researched them on Tripadvisor or course), Azelia was the best of all. If we ever decide to run away, this would be the place to look for us -- we'll definitely be back!

Graciousness practically gushes out of every element of this wonderful bed & breakfast. Mary Pat's breakfasts have an artistic flair that is only bested by their taste; they are the Monet's "Lillies" of food. And if you get rained in for a day, there is a good chance you will be offered homemade oat cakes. Should the opportunity arise, my wife and I recommend you take it.
