“Clean, Comfy, and Charming!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

My husband and I stayed here for one night while we attended a wedding at the Crystal Cliffs (15 min. drive away). We stayed in the garden suite and enjoyed an excellent night's sleep in the uber-comfortable bed. I'm very picky when it comes to mattresses, and going in, had relatively low expectations of my night's sleep...however, I was very pleasantly surprised :). The Inn itself is very charming and beautifully maintained. Our room was more contemporary in it's styling however had a lot of space, even a little kitchenette area. My father stayed in room 11 which was very lovely, more traditional, and spacious as well. The breakfast menu had a good selection and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The InnKeeper was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We were there over Frosh weekend, and we didn't even know it!

We stayed for one night only in Antingonish. The building is old and very charming. This lovely hotel, is centrally located, but t is also very quiet. We had a room with its own entrance.
Has private parking, great breakfast and good service. Definitely recommended.

This is a lovely inn. We stayed in room 11, which is on the first floor next to the dining room. It was elegant, with hardwood floors. We appreciated the hot chocolate and biscotti available in the dining room in the evenings. There were also several teas available. The room was quiet and had 2 comfortable armchairs. The inn is right on Main Street, so easy walking access to downtown. It's across from Main Street Cafe. About a 15-20 minute walk to STFX. Breakfast was served between 8 and 10 AM. It seemed that most people ate closer to 8 AM rather than later. There were six choices from the menu. The servers were wonderful.

Room Tip: All the rooms are different. Room 11 has a small sitting area.

We went to Antigonish for a friend's wedding, and decided to stay at the Victorian Inn. Exactly as promised, it is an old manor converted into a bed and breakfast. We stated in the Garden Suite, which is a private guest house in the back of the inn. The room featured a large king bed, kitchenette and 3-piece bathroom. It was extremely clean, quite comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was served early and ran until 10am. Although we slept throug breakfast, the innkeeper was more than happy to offer us simpler options like toast, coffee, bran with yogurt etc. The Inn is very central and walking distance to St. Fx and other local attractions. If you are looking for a clean and relaxing Inn with character, consider staying at the Victorian Inn... we will be certain to rebook next in Antigonish.

We stayed one night in the cottage (1A), it was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on.
Tastefully decorated, spotless clean and very quiet.
Included with your stay is a hot breakfast with some choices. It was excellent plus they serve homemade preserves.
Close to restaurants and shops, a nice place to walk as well.
We would love to stay again.

Charley, a terrier mix, wishes to post a review of his pet-friendly room at Antigonish's Victorian Inn.
He liked his lodging and wants to give a paw's-up to the Victorian Inn for being so welcoming to his kind. They have reserved room 9, the Xavier, for dogs. It is carpet free and has its own entrance. Very convenient for fursons and persons alike. The vast grounds with aged shade trees and patio furniture make for great outdoor spaces for everyone as well!
Thank you to Norma Jean for making our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed 2 nights on our way to the Cabot Trail. The location was perfect, 5 minute walk to restaurants, pubs and shops. The inn itself was one of the nicest we've stayed in (and we've stayed in many). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing
with 5 or 6 items to choose from. Our room was very comfortable, great bed and a really nice updated bathroom. I highly recommend this inn.
