We had stayed in the Maritime in an earlier visit to Canada and were not disappointed with our return visit. The room was very spacious and the food in the restaurant was very well presented. We were in an executive room and although a bit pricey, the comfort was worth it.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at the Maritime Inn. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. The suite 5 of us stayed in was very comfortable and we had our best sleep at this Inn. The room was decorated nicely and impressed my 3 teenager girls. We stayed at 6 different hotels during our travel this summer and the Maritime Inn was by far the best and we would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We are now back from our tour of the East Coast and we always include our stay at this Inn when telling friends and family about our trip. Thank you so much to all the staff at the hotel and the restaurant on the premises.

We stayed for one night on our summer vacation simply because it was where we decided to pull off the road. I wish we could have stayed longer, the hotel was great and the town of Antigonish was very nice. Next summer we will make it one of our destinations and certainly stay at this hotel

We were late in making our reservation from the visitor's centre in Canso Causeway however they found a King bed for us in this hotel. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted and found the room to be large and most comfortable. Parking just outside the room was great since we were used to being up a flight of stairs elsewhere(usually 14 or more in B and B's).
Cost of the room was to be $140 but was reduced to $129 with Caa!
Shower was very modern with nice ceramic tile - however for we older seniors it would have been even better with grab bars.
All in all a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Try for ground floor with parking outside the unit door.

My friends and I got into a car accident and literally had nothing but the clothes on our back when we arrived here since we were coming all the way from Ottawa, ON. Rooms were clean, spacious, and nice. But the most awesome thing about this place was the staff. The staff here was absolutely amazing in helping us. The girl at the counter even offered us a drive to Halifax so we could get a plane ride home. Unbelievably hospitable and we are forever thankful for their amazing service. I definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed one night, July 21, 2013 on our way home from Cape Breton.
Our room was on the ground floor with an exterior entrance and parking outside the door. The parking setup is a little unusual in that there are several fewer marked spaces than there are rooms on that side of the hotel. This turned out not to be a problem because many of the rooms were not sold.
The location, right on Main St, is a good one. From the little we saw, it is apparently a good neighborhood. This is probably a great location for someone visiting Antigonish either for business or pleasure.
The room was not large, but certainly large enough for us. The room & bathroom were clean and the bed very comfortable. About the only unfortunate thing about the room was the four very large pillows on the bed, all of which turned out to be overly soft & squishy. I did have a little trouble sleeping because my head compressed the pillow down to a very thin pad & the rest of the pillow billowed up around my head on both sides. I suggest management might do better to provide two pillows that are less soft & prone to compression for those of us who prefer more support.
The lobby is attractive. At check in, the young man at the front desk was very pleasant & helpful, & check out was equally smooth.

We stayed for one night--had a room on first floor and parked right outside the door. We booked online and received a special promotion: free breakfast in the attached cafe. This turned out to be eggs, meat of our choice and home fries--all very good. The staff were very courteous; room was clean and comfortable. Toiletries in bathroom were nice--though there was not an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Another nice touch was a newspaper on our door when we left in the a.m. I would stay here again.
