“Gardener's Must See”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

This garden is one of five destination gardens in North America. It is beautiful, well maintained and an easy stroll. Even in September many roses were in bloom in the lovely rose garden's collection of over 200 cultivars and a rose maze. It is amass with great old tree specimens throughout. The location along the Allain River has a Dykewalk from which one can see salt marshes and remnants of old Arcadian Dykes. The layout is wonderful and includes ponds, perennial, rock, winter, etc. gardens. Throughout are playful sculptures which are discovered in ah ha moments of fun and put a smile on your face. It is truly a destination garden. Parking is on site. Charge for two seniors was $19.55 including tax. And close by outside of town is the Tidal Power Station also worth a visit.

“Lovely gardens”

You'll think you are in England. Be sure to check out the small vegetable garden which has very creative growing methods. Nice place to sit and meditate.

“Lovely!”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

This garden is a treasure! It is well laid out and landscaped. The plantings are colorful and as varied as you might expect, changing seasonally. We appreciated its setting overlooking the Allain's River salt marshes and old Acadian dykes. The recreated "La Maison Acadienne" helped us put this area in its historic context.

“What a gem!”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

If you are going to Annapolis Royal or staying in Nova Scotia it is worth including a visit to these gardens. The day we visited was sunny but not too hot. We were amazed at the variety of plants, trees and shrubs enterprisingly displayed in what is quite a small area. The gardens are kept immaculately. The guide leaflet is perfect for navigating your way round the gardens. I would an hour to an hour and half to get real value from the visit. We drove up from Lunenburg for our visit and the visit to the garden was a highlight of the visit.
