Owner description: In the heart of the Annapolis Valley, Upper Clements Park, the FUN Capital of Nova Scotia, opened its doors in 1989 and has since been one of Atlantic Canada's top tourism destinations. The amusement park stands on 75 acres and features over 30 rides and attractions which bring over 70,000 people every year. We are the only park in Atlantic Canada that features a Flume ride (the Sissiboo Sizzler), and we are the proud home of the only wooden roller coaster in Atlantic Canada, the Tree Topper roller coaster.
Useful Information: Stroller parking, Activities for older children, Stairs / elevator, Activities for young children

First of all, it's way overpriced for what it is. Secondly, one of the staff decided to tell at my son and make him feel like garbage. The poor kid is autistic. Staff need to be taught how to deal with kids like that. I haven't gone back since and never will.

Our 3 teens LOVED this park. In their words, "It was SOOOOOO AWESOME!"

After a one hour training session, the kids were led through 5 different courses, all of which had ziplines. 2 of the courses are mostly or all zipline; the other 3 are a mix of obstacles and ziplines. The guide, Frank, did a truly exceptional job of leading the kids and showing them what to do. It took them about 2 1/2 hours to complete the 5 courses. This is the biggest zipline park we have done, and I know we'll be looking for more. The kids are raring to go.

First off, if you don't have kids you mightn't enjoy this place as much as those who do. Many of the rides and activities are child-oriented, but there is fun to be had by adults as well. The FLUME ride is fantastic fun. Getting back in line is quick and easy as well. The rollercoaster was a bit short, but still lots of fun, and again easy to get back in line should you want a 2nd round. Speaking as someone who was not keen on going on the rollercoaster for my ride queasiness, it was actually quite fun. The one water slide was big, albeit not very exciting; dunking into the pool at the bottom was a great way to cool off with the searing heat of the day.

There were lots of great venues for snacks and meals, although prices were exceptionally high at each (for a double burger, a shared slushie, and a foot-long hot dog it cost us over $19). The hut down towards the bottom of the park doesn't serve meal food, heads-up; just the places up by the main gate.

Peddle-go carts was a ride I would've never expected to see at an amusement park. A giant leap down from motorized go-carts, you actually peddle yourself around a circuit track. As if peddle boats weren't bad enough for demanding physical exertion, now they've got peddle go-carts? This attraction should be scrapped and real go-carts added for a big money maker as the peddle go-carts were not at all busy at any point of the day.

Children will enjoy the climbing apparatuses, the extensive dry-slide area, mini bumper boats (for toddlers), mini-put, and some of the classic carnival rides like the carousel and the ferris wheel.

Wear walking shoes that you can get wet (strap-on sandals). There's lots and lots of walking, with hills aplenty.
Bring a backpack with your own water to stay hydrated (it's very expensive in the park), sunblock, and a ziplock baggie for your $ and keys (stash your wallet & purse in the car) so that you don't have to rent a locker for an outrageous $5.50. We used a baggie from the candy shop and tucked it into a shorts pocket and made out fine.
Check the website for admission prices. They're a bit steep.
Plan to be there for the day. Due to the amount of walking you'll be doing, the layout of the rides and attractions, and possible waiting times, you'll need most of the 11am-7pm open time to fully enjoy the park.

Lastly, get there early, which is a typical recommendation for any amusement park. We got there at opening on a monday and around noon everything started lining up.

Hope you have a fun time!

My grand kids and I had a great day together at Upper Clements. It is unfortunate however that it doesn't open until 11am. We had to leave by 3pm and so didn't get to see it all. To really get your money's worth you want to be able to stay the whole day.
Another thing you want to be aware of is the height restrictions. Let me tell you, for a six year old who wants to go down the water slide and is a bit small for his age, it means tears and sobbing all the way back down the stairs.
Loved the flume. The roller coaster is rickety.
All that being said it was a great family day with Nanny and Auntie. The boys had a blast.

I have not been here since I was a kid so it was really cool to take our little guy here. We were blessed with a really weather on the day we were there, which made our time even better :) There were pirates that we walking around the park and I must say that we were really impresed by thier costumes, very cool! The lineups were not that bad, even for a hot Sunday afternoon. I forgot how bumpy the rollercoaster is, I think my brain rattled around lol. Overall, we had a really great family afternoon and if we were back in the area; we would be back for sure!
