We had read a little of the history of this site before traveling to Annapolis Royal but were impressed with the huge amount of information about the fort, it's design, origins and changes over time. The tapestry was impressive but we noted there were no black faces even though the information boards discussed the arrival of freed black slaves and others after the American revolution.
The small charge represented excellent value.
