“A good place for a beer.”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The "Greek salad" was pretty iffy. The dressing was very average, probably from a bottle of something generic. The seafood chowder was OK. The beer was good, and the atmosphere was nice and busy (shocking for this town.).

I'd stop in for a drink next time, but avoid the salad. Who eats salad at a pub anyway?

“Good food and fun!”
Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

We stopped in for a drink and snack before our Acadian Heritage walking tour and had a great time! Loved the fried clams!!! We had about about 7 orders of them! Fresh and lightly fried to perfection. They even had more delivered while we were there - couldn't be any fresher than that! Loved our waitress - originally from California and now loves Annapolis Royal. Great little place.

“Nearby Digby Scallops Raw”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

I had the freshest, cleanest, tastiest scallop sashimi very unexpectedly at this little pub. I would say to bring your own soy sauce as they have none and the dish, as it is presented and described (marinate scallops in a paper container of vinegar!?) is weird and does not work (to do a ceviche requires time in the lemon juice or vinegar, that is, more time than we have at the table but correct me if I am wrong), no matter. Just add salt and eat raw. VV GOOD!!! By the way, we went to several restaurants in and around the area, but by far, this was the best dish.

“Great food, great service.”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Again this year a group of seniors from Windsor NS. who travel using Kings Transit rode the buses to Annapolis Royal for lunch ( a 5 hr trip one way ) at Ye Olde Town Pub . We were not disappointed The service was great, prompt, and friendly. The food was excellent and large portions for the price. We will definatly go back.

“We enjoy the Pub!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Every time we are in Annapolis Royal, we end up at Ye Olde Towne Pub at least once or twice. The beer is always good--this time our favorite was the Propeller Bitter! Honestly, with regards to the food, some is better than others--but we are always able to find something tasty. The jalapeno poppers are NOT spicy enough!

The staff is very friendly and helpful--it will remain a place we visit year after year!
