Had dinner at Privet house on a Saturday night in September. Made a list minute reservation, but was assured that they would be able to seat us and it wasn't too late (reservation for 8:30 pm). Arrived to find the restaurant clearing out, but another table arriving at the same time.
Unfortunately from this point on the Privet House failed to meet our expectation
We were seated quickly, as there were some tables already free, but waited for about 5 minute to be greeted by our server and provided menus. This was unusual as she was only serving two other tables.
It was another 10 minutes before our drink order was taken and then it took close to 30 minutes for a single glass of wine to be prepared. When it was finally served, it was the wrong wine (a white vs the red that was ordered).
Our dinner order was finally taken, 45 minutes after we had arrived.
Specifically frustrating because our server spent all this time preparing tables for the next day (setting linens, silverwear, glasses etc...) and specifically ignored us.
When the food arrived, it was good quality, but not amazing, compared to some of the other restaurants we had visited in Wolfville. In addition one of the dishes was missing the added Shrimp (thankfully we weren't charged for it)
Ambience was gorgeous however and the space had potential, but the restaurant did not live up to the expectations.
