“Awesome stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here last week While visiting friends in Noca Scotia. Our friends had been here before and loved it. I can see why.

We had two rooms booked, one was a suite, the other was a standard room. After they showed us to our rooms to ensure everything was ok, the guy came back to say they upgraded us to the adjoining suite next to our friends.

Very accommodating, friendly and professional. Wolfville is a neat town with great wineries and eateries. I would definitely go back!!

Ps their restaurant was great as well!

Stayed in the Perth Cottage with my wife while passing through Wolfville. Highly recommended to anyone! Michael did a fantastic job I. Ensuring everything was taken care of and we were wanting for nothing. I will be back.

My wife and I arrived in Wolfville without reservations and intending to stay at another Trip Advisor recommended B&B in Wolfville. However, when we drove by the Blomidon Inn all that changed and my wife wanted to stay at this beautiful property. The front desk said they had availability and immediately handed us several room keys and suggested we take a look the rooms first and pick the one we liked best. We ended up picking a room in the main house on the third floor with views of the Bay of Fundy and the Blomidon Provincial Park in the distance. It was warm last week, but the room had a nice window A/C unit. The room also included a jetted tub and a large flat screen TV. We enjoyed the Continental breakfast each morning of our two night stay, though did not get a chance to try the highly recommended restaurant. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Though a larger property then many B&B's, they still manage to maintain the quaint feel in this old Victorian. The property is also only a short walk from the downtown area - we can highly recommend the gastropub-style food at The Library.

Great affordable get away.
We did the package which included one night stay, 4 course candle light supper, and a fabulous continental breakfast the next morning, with the daily newspaper.
The food was very well presented and quite delicious. The staff are excellent and each one of them seem to anticipate your wishes. All you need to do is to make a short eye contact and voila!
Before checking in, we went to the town centre which is filled with small boutiques and souvenir shop. Very clean streets thanks to the town street cleaner.
You also get the feeling of a University town with the famous Acadia University located right in the heart of Wolfville.
Back to the Inn, we ended up in an upstairs captain's suite. Other than the flat screen and jaccussi, we felt we were in an Inn at the turn of the century. Very serene, calm, no street noise and very private.
For $300 cdn you cannot go wrong.
The drive from Halifax is unique, stay on the secondary road and you'll discover "wine country" with its many award winning micro wineries along the road.
It is a must if you are thinking of visiting the early Valley part of Annapolis.

Normally, for a business trip, you don't expect Bed-and-Breakfast accomodations, but that is what I got. Would have loved to have my bride along with me, but... In any case, it is like another reviewer noted--"a travel back in time". Room was very nicely decorated (I stayed in the Canard Room) with king 4 poster bed, whirlpool tub, large LCD TV, etc. Did not eat dinner at the Blomindon, but did have the continental breakfast there. Very good service. There are a host of B&B's in and around Wolfville, and when I come back to the area, I will stay at the Blomindon again.

Forget an anniversary, and have NO time to plan something special before you get home empty handed? Try the "romantic getaway package" at the Blomidon Inn. For a LOT less money and time than you can pay to arrange for drinks and dinner and a decent motel in Halifax for one night, you can get a great room at the Blomidon Inn for two nights at a price that includes dinner for two in their classy dining room (excellent steak and an impressive wine list) and champagne and chocolates delivered to your room. After a big continental breakfast (also included in the price) spend the day visiting the local wineries or just kick back and enjoy some one-on-one time by one of the fire places (or in the two person jaccuzi tub which was in our room). Romantic enough for the woman in your life, and one call does it ALL. We stayed in Perth Cottage, which is on the perperty, but I got a look at a couple of other rooms in the main Inn in passing, and they looked great too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Two days went by too fast.

Room Tip: If you need to make a reservation without much advance notice, pick a night during the week. It'...

Do you like being treated like someone special? Do you enjoy being able to totally relax in total comfort? Can you enjoy a night's sleep in a huge bed with wonderful sheets and warm blankets? Do you like food that is soo goood you dream of it for days afterwards? Then you NEED to make a trip to Wolfville, NS and stay at the Blomidon Inn. They have a variety of quality rooms that are all better than found in most 4-star hotels. They surround you with beautiful antique furniture and elegant surroundings and treat you like favoured relatives and old friends, even if you have never been there before. The highly trained and exceptionally capable staff make you believe that their only function in life is to make you happy. And they are ALL over-achievers! Not least among this stellar crew is Chef Sean Laceby, whose culinary creations rank with the best of the Food Network productions. This trip, we stayed in Perth Cottage, a free-standing large unit with a HUGE bathroom, jacuzzi-type tub, separate shower (LOTS of hot water!!!) sitting area, kitchenette area, kingsized bed with desk and reading areas. I barely left the room, it was so comfortable. It is not possible to say enough good things about the Blomidon. Words simply run out.

Room Tip: ALL rooms are above average! Unless you really don't like beautiful antiques combined with the...
