Garden House Bed and Breakfast

Spent four nights at this wonderful spot. Comfy, cozy and great breakfast. We stayed at multiple B & B's this was my favourite. Although we had a rent a car, it was really nice to walk each morning as we were close to the basin and also on the main street. Exactly as described on the website with lots of friendliness.

Brian and Lisa are simply amazing hosts, they make you feel right at home. For a very reasonable rate (the best rate in Wolfville!) you get an amzing comfortable spot right near town (an easy walk into town, you can even go for a nice stroll into town following the old railroad line from the back of their property). The house is a 200 year old heritage home, so don't expect some perfect looking fancy place. I don't think there is a straight floor in the house (200 years of settling will do that). On arrival Brian gave a complete tour around the house and some great tips on things to do in the area. Wine glasses and cork screw are right in the hallway for guests (with of course several great wineries nearby!). Amazingly comfortable beds, spotless shared bathroom, and a caraffe of water on the dresser in the bedroom for you convenience. And then I haven't even started about the breakfast: scrambled eggs, good coffee, juice, cereal, and a fresh fruit bowl. Even being located on the main road (which was a bit of a concern for me at first) turned out to be just fine: there is no traffic at all in the evening and at night, and the walk along the old railroad line makes that you don't even have to walk along the road (there is a walkway along the road as well anyway) if you don't want to.

In short: if you are looking for a fancy place with everything to perfection and four-star standard, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a comfortable, cozy, warm spot to come 'home' to in the evening after a long day: this is the perfect place for you!

We stayed in this little b&b for 1 night in 2007 but it left an impression. We chose this place because most others in the area were booked and the price was right (it was much cheaper than other similar b&bs).
We checked in and immediately Brian was there to chat and answer questions. He was animated and funny and made a great breakfast in the morning (I remember it two years later because it was probably one of the best ones ever), with home made cereals and apple crumble... oh man it was delicious. But be ready to get up early.
Anyway just so you know it's a small place , 4 rooms, very charming but not so private. It's also very "kitchy" so just know that if you're looking for modern and edgy this is not the place, it's homey and comfortable. The rooms are cute and the town is about a 10 minute walk. There is internet and television and nearby you can see the tide roll into the Bay of Fundy.
The exceptional service (or the host's friendliness) is what I remember and liked most.
