“Outrageous prices but go anyway...”
Reviewed August 24, 2014

Unfortunately this is one of the few restaurants in Yellowknife that have any real northern charm. It has a great location and it really is a fun place to go if you know what you're in for. Most nights in the summer it's very busy and it's not unusual to sit a while before any of the servers give you their attention and/or any kind of apology. This is part of the character so be prepared to wait, in other words if you go in with plenty of time and a relaxed attitude you'll be fine. It used to be great when you could help yourself to a beer in the fridge but our Stalin like government liquor board changed the rules so you can't do that anymore. The food is great but way overpriced, if there are two of you and you have a meal and a couple of drinks you're easily in for $100 bill with the tip. That being said, I still recommend going there if you're visiting because as a one time splurge it's a unique place to treat yourself. As a local it's tough to swallow the prices for what is essentially "fish & chips", but I still return a couple of times a year. To sum it up I guess what I'm trying to say is that if it's within your budget, be sure to go.

“Best Fish Ever”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

We went back on my birthday. Fish sampler was huge, so much that I had to take a doggy bag home. Staff are really great.
Of course we are going back.

“Unique and fun dining experience!”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

We went based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. So glad we gave it a try!!!!from the outside, it looks like a little shack which is part of the charm! This place was packed! I loved my whitefish.....first time trying it and it was panfried in some incredible spices and butter and I was blown away with the flavour!!!!still remembering it now!!!!...wow.......loved the feta dressing and the whole dining experience. Outrageously expensive but still don't regret it.....it was $98 for two people.....for fish and chips!!!!!!...wow..

“Fun Place”

Neat rustic little spot. Nothing fancy that's for sure but the meal of white fish, fresh baked buns and homemade feta salad dressing was great. Worth the experience. I'll be back!

“Awesome!”

Best fish ever, fresh! Make sure you reserve a table, it is a bistro so it is noisy but what an experience.
