I was staying at The Explorer hotel with many other crew members in YK to shoot a TV series. This lounge was a great gathering place after a long day of work. The menu is small but varied and the prices were only a couple of dollars more per item than you'd pay in Vancouver. I had the French Onion soup and it was superb. I also had the fish and chips which is made with Arctic Char which I had never had, it is kind of like salmon. It was pretty good, if a bit 'fishy' tasting (I'm a halibut gal when it comes to fish and chips).
The service was quick, if a bit moany about having to serve so many of us late in the evening. We especially got the grind one night from one of the servers for ordering off of the dinner menu, and when it came time to pay our bills they were very confused as to who ordered what and it took well past a reasonable amount of time to sort it out and be able to pay up.
Other than that though, a good place with good drink selections and good food. Several of the guys had the burger and all said it was terrific.
