“Great Atmosphere - great fish and chips”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

The fish is fresh and comes in very good portions. Crispy and tasty. There are a good selection of draught beer on tap. Service is friendly. This restaurant was highly recommended by the local soccer community.

“Friendly Place”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Always busy, but staff manage to stay very friendly, helpful and quick to serve.
Have been there twice for drinks since it has such a nice feel to it. Lots of visitors, and
balanced nicely with the regular locals who add character to the place. Definitely worth a visit!

This is the greatest pub in downtown St. John's. As a local, I strongly suggest everyone visit the place. Best fish and chips in town. Fun place to go on Wednesday night's when Republic of Doyle.

“home from home”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

This is the closet you can get to an English pub in St Johns, they know how to look after their beer, The service is always good and thier fish and chips are very tasty, if a little on the large protion size. It is often difficult to get a table/seat especaily if visiting after work between 5-7. Lunch times are also very busy. If you go on a fequest basis you often see the same faces. they do show English and Scottish football (soccer) when it is on.

“Not a place to miss!!!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We heard of the Duke of Duckworth had the best fish and chips in Canada, and that the restaurant was featured in the weekly series " Republic of Doyle. Not to disappoint, it was more than we expected. The Fish and Chips were cooked to perfection and plentiful. Very friendly atmosphere, and PACKED to the doors. Don't miss this opportunity when in the area....
