I am writing this review in the connection with public humiliation , discrimination behave and mean behave to us by India Gate, st john's Newfoundland, Canada in a "Thanks Givingday".
Including myself and two other friends went to INDIA GATE here in st john's, NL for to celebrate THANKS GIVING DAY for a dinner around 6 :30 pm. ish. The waitress took us to table and then we order all together around $30, food for three of us. While drinking mango juice, the owner of that restaurant, came to us and inform us we cannot eat food up there unless we order over $20 each, and he advice us he cannot make any profit, if we order $ 30 for all three of us. He told us to leave unless we order more food on the table.
So , we politely leave but before leaving the restaurant, while in the front desk paying for the food, I ask the waitress , to talk to the owner. Owner pretended that he is busy, send a guy to talk to us on the behalf of him.
Me and my friends while talking to them inform them it does not mention the in the menu as each person had to be ordered $20 up, Told us not to show up their restaurant anytime and also mention us saying that you guys won’t get this behave anywhere with a very rude attitude.
Three of us feel like we were discriminated and publicly humiliated. About us, we are Masters and Undergrad student at Memorial University.
We went to RNC in that night for to complain but later they inform us to send it to “Better Business Bureau “
We also recorded the conversation while we were in the front desk paying the bills. There is already complain made to Better Business Bureau. We are sharing to the public our worst experience in that we had , in that thanks giving day.
