“Great Food... Little Pricey!”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

We went here for breakfast and while the food was really good $50 (including tip) for breakfast is a bit much.
I definitely reccomend at least one breakfast here but I would not do it every day.

“OVERPRICED!!!!!”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

Decor was kitchy, prices were high end. Yogourt, bananas and strawberries $9, Tablespoon of granola $1 extra. Tea was interesting but cold. Go to the Rooms or Rocket for much better experience and service.

“Great Food”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

This place is popular for one reason: the food is great. It is very expensive (expect to pay close to $20 for a bagel sandwich) but it's a yummy sandwich. I had the smoked salmon and egg.

However, the restaurant is very old and small and as such, not really appropriate for modern times or the average person. The chairs/benches and tables are tiny, tiny, tiny -- really for small kids it would be appropriate but not adults. We had such a problem that we had to move half of our party to another table as we all couldn't fit in one booth -- and there were only four of us and we never have a problem anywhere else. The woman who sat us was very nice but our waitress was a sourpuss and not very nice to us at all. She gave us attitude about moving to the table next to the booth and we told her that we can't all fit in the booth (the booth is for two people and we had a party of four) and that if she doesn't like it, that we would have separate bills to make it easier. She was so rude and mean and I honestly can't believe she's employed there. She ruined our experience and her attitude was not appropriate at all especially when the other wait staff was so nice. She clearly hates her job and shouldn't be working in the service industry.

Nasty waitress aside, the food was very good although very expensive. I'd recommend this for a party of two only as the restaurant really doesn't accommodate larger parties with it being as small as it is. Go for the novelty of it as the interior is interesting (although kind of dark).

“Beware the subpar food and prices”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

Call it 2 1/2 stars to be fair. We went in for their lobster dinner special where you get a whole 1 1/2 lb lobster with a caesar salad for $22.99 (you can add a small steak for $3). The lobster was ok but not especially fresh which was disappointing. The steak was pretty good, well cooked and seasoned, and the salad had been pre-made and had sat for awhile because it was soggy. All in all it could have been much better. Oh and the beers we ordered were $7-8 apiece which is crazy. The restaurant was dark and gloomy but our server was very nice and friendly so it balanced out.

We tried the place because we heard many good things about their breakfast so by all means try em out for that, just avoid the lobster supper deals and beers because there are better options for that in town

“Good location and breakfast”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

We were here on Aug. 2 for breakfast and it was very good. I had the Newfoundland Benedict which is like the eggs Benedict but on fish cakes and with some smoked salmon and home fries. The amount of smoke salmon was surprisingly little considering the price. I agree with the other reviewers that this place is quite overpriced. It is good food but still not quite worth the price tag.
