Staff was very friendly and helpful, but the first night was not very good. It was on the top (3rd floor) up several flights of stairs at 11pm to find that the place was extremely hot. No fan in rooms.
The bed was very uncomfortable and small.

Very clean, older apartment that needs upgrading. Not what we were expecting after viewing their updated, modern hotel counter.
Also unexpected phone charges for each call made from room. No posting about that in room we would have used our cell phone rather than pay all the charges.

Not sure I'd stay there again, but was an ok central location for the two days we spent at St. John's.

Hotel is under renovations, where Appartments converted into hotel suites. We booked 3 months in advance got a great rate of $560/week. Huge rooms! We got a living room, bedroom and a loaded kitchen with all basic utensils. We spent a longtime looking on-line and wasn't sure about the booking. Don't come expecting a 5 star resort. But the complex is clean, the suites are clean, daily changing of all linens, coffee & Tea, the staff is very accomadating and nice. WE even got a fan for free on hot days! Oh yeah the building also has secured laundry facilities with no time restrictions. This Hotel is also close to all the attractions. The down side is the floors are not silent. We were on the top floor so it didn't matter. You can rent it by the day, week or month!

you really get what you pay for with this place. For well under $100 per night (Canadian funds) you get a pleasant, clean 1, 2, or 3 bedroom apartment with a living room and full kitchen. The staff are friendly and helpful. This place was a haven to me and my 4 month old baby after being treated really terribly at the Winterholme Heritage Inn (where I paid double the price).
The location is a little inconvenient, but you can get into town by bus or even by walking 30 min or so. If you have a car, this place is perfect. It's a great place for families or groups. I recommend it.

I stayed here with some friends on our first few days in St John's. The suites are part of a bigger complex, where I presume there are longer term residents. The suites are part way between the airport and downtown, and a car would be handy, though there is a bus line out the front. Still, it is hardly the best location in St John's.

The plus for this place was that for a good rate, you can get two or three bedroom suites, which are good for groups. They also have kitchens.

If you have a car and are happy just to have a 'base', this place is fine. I would still recommend a place in the downtown area, for the convenience of walking. I spent a night in the Battery Hotel after my friends left, and I can recommend that hotel as a good place to stay.
