“Cold but cool as h....”

Fantastic view! The biggest waves I have seen and the sound when they hit the water or the cliffs are amazing.... I'm glad I saw this during this lovely cold winter day, but am also longing for it in the summer (so you can stand still without worrying about the freezing wind)

“Incredible Experience by the Sea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

Being out on the far eastern edge of North America and Canada is truly amazing. We spent time here on two different days to experience the different weather. Ond day was very foggy and cold and another day was sunny. Much to explore here with short walking paths, educational/historical information, and the lighthouse too. We highly recommend this expereince as one can see off into the North Atlantic, the Narrows adjacent, Signal Hill across the way, and just a short dstance from St. John's. We took plenty of beautiful pictures and learned a lot about the local history of this land.

“Foggy and windy but still fun!”

Neat to see the edge of Canada. Signage was fun to read. The lighthouse was closed as it was off season. We did enjoy hiking around the sites.

“Coldest I've Ever Been”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

I spent time near the Arctic Circle (-45 degrees C). But the wind, the low temperatures and the damp air at Cape Spear made that experience feel like Miami in August. The view is beautiful and the experience of being at the eastern-most part of this hemisphere is awesome. Worth a side trip if you're in St. John's.

“A sight to feast on!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

It's amazing how the early settlers decided to build this lighthouse for all sea-farers that came to these shores. It's now being cared for by the Rangers & these fees help the up-keep of the area. An amazing place to visit, feel the wind in your face & see the beauty of the area that will remain with me always.
