“A sight to feast on!”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

It's amazing how the early settlers decided to build this lighthouse for all sea-farers that came to these shores. It's now being cared for by the Rangers & these fees help the up-keep of the area. An amazing place to visit, feel the wind in your face & see the beauty of the area that will remain with me always.

“Ocean a step a way!”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

Nice trails to walk on...not as rigorous as Signal Hill. Good workout going to the lighthouse but can be done at a leisurely pace. So close top the ocean...can almost reach out and touch shipes passing by!!

“We went on a foggy day, went back on a sunny day...SUNNY day rules!”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Being at the most easterly point of Canada is exciting itself. The first time we went unfortunately there was fog, so we returned the next day, and with clear skies and sunshine... what a difference! The drive to the lighthouse was stunning- on the way there you can see the ocean to your left, and there are places to park and get the scenic view. Historic plaques to read, and the gift shop was closed when we went (Nov 24, 25)

“The most Easterly point in Canada”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

This national heritage site is spectacular. The view from the lighthouse and shore is amazing.....swim in an easterly direction and the next land is England, Greenland, Portugal or the Faro Islands.
Nature at her most rugged and and fearsome.
