Great location with views of harbour. Cool modern building; not too much on Titanic and yet it is advertised as a large collection of Titanic artifacts. Still worth visiting.

Very interesting geology exhibits about Newfoundland. Titanic section very well done. Hibernia Oil is the sponsor of several exhibits that a way too oil positive for my taste. They are remodeling the children's playroom right now. The 3D nature films are very good.

Newfoundland is very old, geographically, and this exhibition made this clear, along with much else. The story of the sinking of the Titanic, the explanation of the mining of oil and gas, and the video on the beginnings of earth, and life on earth, were all well worth seeing.

And to top it off the excellent video on the migration of the monarch butterfly was showing.

On a very snowy day in St John's it was a perfect thing to do.

What a neat museum. Geological and Titanic exhibits (guided by knowledgeable staff) were excellent. Also had a couple of iMax films incl. in entry fee which we didn't have time to see. Very tasteful gift shop too. Could easily spend a day here.
