The Geo Centre - a kid friendly facility? Seriously? Think again! Save your money and go outside and touch rocks!

This centre is solely based on evolution and all the rocks that are in there can be found outside on the beach and surrounding walk-ways.

My 7-year old daughter did like the solar system that is in the foyer of the centre, and past that, it went down hill.

The titanic exhibit is not for kids - there's nothing hands-on about it.

I did enjoy the exhibit on Hibernia, but could have googled all the info.

Not a good way to dish out $40.

A great spot to stimulate the brain. The Titanic display was excellent and very informative. The geological area was very good. I would highly recommend a visit.

From the moment we entered the exhibits to the gift shop we were totally impressed. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the way our land was formed, the rock exhibits and the impressive Titanic exhibit. The young lady in the gift shop showed great customer service with the time and interest she took in helping me with my purhases. Fantastic time!

Plan at least 30 minutes to walk the beautiful free trails around the Centre. Watch a movie in the small theater (45-60 minutes included in the admission price) and learn about the origins of the “Rock”, The Titanic and the oil industry in 3 separate areas. It is definitely worth the money and everyone is sure to learn something new with lots of hands-on presentations for kids. One of the connecting trails (http://www.grandconcourse.ca/) outside the Geo Park goes around Signal Hill and up to Cuckold Cove Rd where we saw an eagle's nest: it is possible to make it a whole day hike and visit.

This is a fine place to go for some basic geo science learning, but it was a bit overpriced for my taste. The best exhibit showed the comparison between the average life span of a person and the age of the earth, done in a very compelling way.
